Moving along

I have decided that we should move the kilts night around as I am getting tired in going to the same place over and over. As much as I like the current pub, I need something different. I wanted variety. I have been doing the same thing for too long and it fails to excite me any more. I feel like that I am just in it for the ride. Aside from being boring, the original kilts night is being hijacked by some one.

This particular is simply using the kilts night for his own agenda and it is not kilt related. Selling kilt to people during the kilts night is one thing, because we want to get more people into kilt wearing. It is a complete different story when some one to use the night for other things in life. I am so sick of this individual to continue to use the night for personal gain. I have heard people that doesn't want to go because of this person.

Kilts night is about kilts and that's all. If some one wants a multicultural night, then starts one. and leave the kilts night to the people who genuinely wear the kilt.

To ride or not to ride.

The weather is unusually good today and I am thinking about riding my motorbike. I had to go out for a herf in Vancouver and I have no intention to drink. I wanted to, but it will not be wise as my foot still aches.

I am asking the question, because I am not sure why I should be riding. I am kinda scare of the road, Although I know the road is perfectly safe. I am not a big fan of riding, if I have to carry stuff with me. Tonight, I have to carry the Cigars and I am also thinking about bringing the DSLR as well. It is a new toy and I don't want it to fall off the motorcycle.

I can always just bring the cigar and nothing else. If I was to bring the DSLR, it is because I am thinking about going to do some shooting with my friend. If I am going with him, I may as well bring the car. However, the weather is so beautiful and I want to ride!

However, If I drive, I can enjoy the warm weather by wearing my kilt!

Wearing of the kilt

I am pissed up because of a friend of mine's action. He likes to promote his things, but he doesn't realise that he is not doing it the right way.

Every first Thursday of the month, I go to an Irish Pub for Kilts night and the pub will buy a kilt wearer the first pint of Guinness. This friend, who runs a sport team, will bring a stack of kilts and lend them the team members. He is doing it get free pints for the team member and to promote his sports team. With every stranger he meets, he will stress that some team members wear kilts during the competition. This pisses me off. It is because he is using the monthly kilts night to recruit for his team and to entertain his entourage.

Aside from a few team members, most don't give a rat ass about the kilt, but they will gladly to wear the kilt for a free pint of Guinness. Of course, these people wear the kilt in a horrid fashion as most of them don't have a clue on how to wear them. Most of them will simply wear them over their pants. I am not trying to pull a Stacy and Clinton, but I don't think it is acceptable to do it as it cheapen the kilt. There are times, they will wear their kilts inside out. I have seen it too many times and I don't care to correct them any more. I am sick and tired of it.

Wearing the kilt over pants should not be allowed in any context.

Of course, they will run around the pub looking like idiots. For me, they don't wear the kilt for real and they are doing it for all the wrong reasons. The kilt is more than just a piece of clothing as it symbolise a race of people. To wear the kilt in clownish ways is not right. I can't look at that anymore. If I express my opinion way, I will alienate lots of people I know.

These people won't even venture out to a different pub for kilts night or go to a pub that doesn't offer them free beers. I just can't call these people kilt wearers and they are worse than wannabes.

Free Installation.

Seriously, what kind of scam is that and why do people believe that they are getting the installation for free. This has to be the biggest scam in the marketing world. Why can't the sales people just say that the installation is included. This is just lying to the consumer and the company.

I will not support any Cancer related charity.

I will not ride to conquer cancer.

I will not give money to Livestrong.

I don't care about cutting my hair for cancer patient.

By doing this, I am enabling an industry that exists because the drug company rather sell drugs to help the patient than selling drugs to cure people. I am sick to my stomach to see these greedy drug companies just want to keep their profit and letting people die. The deeds of these drug company could cause us the life of the planet. Scientists and Doctors from all over the world have been working for a long time and I just have a hard time believing that no one is close for a cure. May be they just don't want to. If they found it, research fund will dry out and they will have to find new jobs. New jobs may not glamorous or well paid. They are afraid that they won't enjoy the life that they are used to. Human greed sucks. It is the greed that will bring doom to our species. Unless some one can give me concrete evidence that human being isn't smart enough to cure it, I will keep thinking the cure had been found, but some one is suppressing it.

Human beings are smart. The computer technology had been leaping daily. Although many have thought that the technology originated from the ufo that crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. Scientists backward engineered the alien technology. If so, I am sure that they have found medical records or other devices.

On one hand, the governments are telling us to save our planet by doing our parts, but the governments are doing shit about it. They keep using fuel to send troops to fight a war that can't be won. Instead of admitting defeat and saving lives, they keep encouraging people to fight and for a good cause.

Robbie Burns Night

Robbie Burns night is rapidly approaching and I am not excited about it. It is because I am Chinese, not Scottish. After all these years, I still can't find a reason to celebrate him. He was a poet and I careless about poetry. However, if there is a Jackie Stewart day, I would be all over it.

I am a regular kilt guy

So, I wear my kilt regularly and I am not Scottish. my choice of clothes may not be conventional, but, I don't want to stand out of the crowd. I wear my kilts so often that people are assuming that I will be in my kilt when I get married next summer. That is a great assumption as I plan to have a new kilt made for the occasion. I haven't told my mom yet, but it is my wedding. I should be doing what I want to do.

I also have people told me tips on hiring a piper. A piper in my wedding?? I don't think so. I like pipe music, but not enough to have one on my wedding day.

People just think that I am fascinated about Scotland. In reality,I don't care much about the Scottish Cuisine, culture, or music. I am just fascinated with the kilt as a fashion items and nothing more. I don't want to care about something I have no interest of just because I am wearing a kilt. I don't want to be a Scot or walk around with a fake Scottish accent. I don't drink scotch because of my kilt. I rather have a good bourbon than some cheap Scotch.

I have a friend who just visited Scotland and he was so eager to show me the picture from his trip. He showed me pictures and videos while talking in a bad Scottish accent. The man was just trying so hard. I wonder if he visited China, will he be speaking English with a Chinese accent. That was the single most boring time for me. I have seen all of his pictures on Facebook, but this presentation is in technicolour and narrated in a bad scottish accent. I wish Sir Sean can knock some scene into this man. He is definitely fascinated with the Scottish Culture as he host a dinner in the name of Robbie Burns.

Just because I wear a kilt, that doesn't mean that I want all things Scottish. I won't try hard to be some one I am not. I am who I am. I am just a guy who likes my kilts in the closet.

In conclusion, I will be wearing a kilt for my wedding and there will be no piper or other Scottish influence.
