Olympic Resistance Network

Olympic Resistance Network is a Vancouver based organisation with the sole purpose of trying to disrupt the Vancouver Winter Olympics. They want to bring the homelessness problem to the media and force the government to solve the problem. They also believe that the winter games are held for profit and greed.

The Olympic is almost over and Vancouver had been in the party mood for the last two weeks. Downtown Vancouver has been filled with celebrations of all athletes. It is great to see a game that unified people for the purpose of having fun. The big corporations are putting in money so that people can have something to do. Their action puts lots of people to work and lots of money back in the economy.

Other than sports, Vancouver and BC officials also hosted many investors from around the world because they want to look at the investment opportunity. By building bridges, roads and public transit, it will impress them. They know that Vancouver is not a backward country but a world class city. It will attract more people and will grow the region as a whole. It will benefit the local cities, the province and the country as a whole.

The olympic is almost over, and I wonder will those people take a job with the people that put money in the game.

Anarchist

I should register myself as an Anarchist because the government is getting to big and it is threatening my way of life.

Politicians, just because they are in power, will find a way to serve themselves. It is completely selfish to use their power to manipulate the laws. I am not a fan of people not serving their public, but rather telling people what they should do. I think most of them need to go seek mental health specialist and figure out what's wrong with them. They feel like a bunch of people that want to take revenge on people. may be they didn't get the pony that their parents promised them.

End Homelessness

I am a Heartless bastard.

I say that because I don't understand the whole homeless situation in Vancouver. Many have blamed the closure of a mental hospital in the late 90's. Some have called the drug trade brought the addicts to the downtown east side. Some homeless moved to Vancouver because of the weather.

Seriously, why should the government give these people money. They may claim that they have plenty of disadvantages. But don't these people have family and why aren't they staying with their family. They may have family issues, but come on!!! Homelessness is not a problem that can be solved over night and it needs to come from the homeless person first.

There have been protests in Vancouver about the homelessness, but curiously, most of these people are not homeless. They are just people with big hearts and without real jobs. They think helping others will make them to feel good, but seriously, they only act like 2 years old. because only toddlers whine and cry when they don't get what they want. Grown ups don't do that because we have learnt to reason and use proper channels.

Instead of taking the protest to the streets and convincing high school students to act like babies, they need to learn the right way to express themselves. They need to make a plan and bring the solutions to the table. Instead of marching to the streets, they need to make phone calls and ask for meetings with the people in charge. or becoming politicians.
