back with a road bike

IT is another Long weekend and my mind is preoccupied with plenty of things. Aside from the wedding planning, I am also thinking about getting a new road bike.

I have thought hard and long about the reason of buying a road bike. It is because I don't have a road bike. I have 2 mountain bikes and I am selling one of them because I don't like riding that model and I haven't ridden that bike is over a year. It's an okay bike, but I couldn't get used to the geometry.

I am getting a road bike for some serious training. I am doing well in dragon boat racing and riding a road bike will just bring my fitness to the next level. I also want to do a grandfondo ride next year.

Over the years, I am linking road riding more. living in the burb and a hot bed for mountain biking, I actuall prefer riding on the road. It takes less time and I don't have to deal with prentencious people. I am so tired of some people who think they are a know-it-all.

Road bikers are serious about their rides and the experience. they spend less time bitching and checking out people's rides. They are serious about their equipments and serious about riding. They don't take breaks every 15 -20 minutes. It is hard to get a training ride out of them. Tehy don't do training and they ride.

Based on that I quit.

The day before my brithday

Tomorrow is my birthday. It happens every year at the same time and I can't run away from it. I have learnt to deal with it in the past by meeting with friends for meals.

However, I am so busy and stressed out with everything. I am not in the mood to celebrate at all. I just want to have a quiet time with my fiancee.
