kicked my coffee habbit

I did it. I kicked my coffee habit. I am one week clean and sober. It took me a while to do it. It was easier than I thought. It was fortunate that I don't have to work and have things to take care of. I can focus on the process. I just simply start drinking green tea. My stomach started to feel better. I also have a little more energy to deal with my stuff.

I don't feel tired and I can go to sleep at night. Isn't that strange that I was tired and I had a hard time falling asleep.

I put away the coffee maker and I am wondering what to do with my coffee.

Speaking of coffee, McDonald is selling Iced coffee. This is just dumb. Lots of Chinese Restaurants are serving them for a very loooooooooong time. It is nothing new in the Chinese culture.

Need to speed up my recovery time

I need to speed up my recovery time. I have been training for the last few days, and I realised that it is taking me a while to recover. I haven't done much training for the last little while and I finally back to it. I am training to be fit, and to look my best. It is the only way that I know. Working out also gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I have biked, jogged, swam and dragon boated a few times this week. I know that I am getting stronger. I just need to keep going and I should be ready for lots of summer stuff.

Why I shave my head

Why I shave my head

I have been shaving my head for a few years and I do it for many reasons.

  • I am too cheap to go out for a hair cut
  • I am too cheap to buy black hair dye
  • My hair weights too much
  • My hair bothers me
  • I hate my hair
  • I hate doing my hair daily
  • I am too cheap to spend money on shampoo every month
  • I like Bruce Willis and Sam Jackson

Being James Bond

It is not easy being James Bond.

  • You have to know how to drive like a maniac
  • You need to know how to kill someone with a Walther PPK from a distance
  • You need to know how to operate anything in the world
Most important:

You can not giggle when you meet hot women with names like Holly Goodhead, Pussy Galore.....

Furniture Changes

I sold my dining room set yesterday because it was just way too big for my place. I used the money to get a new tables and 4 chairs from Ikea. It was smalled, and fit my condo better. I already had breakfast on it this morning and it was comfortable.

I also acquired a new set of bookshelf speakers to replace the old tower speakers. They are way smaller, but powerful enough for movies.

With the speakers and dining room set gone, I reorganised the room. I have more room now. I just have to hang up the pictures and I am done.

Return of the Jedi

I just watched Return of the Jedi on Spike TV and I have some thoughts about the movie:

  • Luke is a selfish bastard. He preformed the cremation of his father by himself and he couldn't wait for Leah and Han...
  • Vader is another bastard. He is the Sith lord for crying out loud and he wouldn't hang on to meet his own daughter.
  • Once Luke turned Vader away from the Dark Side, did Qui-Gon Jin cheer? And Did he say I told you so to his jedi peeps?
  • When Luke gave his speech about him being a jedi, was Palpatine laughing from the inside? Come on the boy took the weekend course on how to be a jedi and he claims to be a jedi.

Another good day

It was another good day for me.

I got up this morning for the Arsenal and Manchester United's Blood Bath at Old Trafford. The match was crazy and Arsenal had some good attackers and we, Manchester United, was under lots of fire. We still managed to pull it off. It was all good as we have an Excellent Midfielder name Owen Hargreaves. He delivered a free kick that would make David Beckham proud. The ball went a foot clear of the player wall and curved it to the left of the goal. Within a second, the ball crossed the line and Manchester United went 1 goal clear. That was the winning goal and Hargreaves delivered the package and send Arsenal Packing. In the Theatre of Dreams, Arsenal can only dream about the Premier League Championship.

We may be top of the chart, but we are not clear yet. Chelski can still creep in if we screw up.

After the match, I went out for a ride for grocery to pick up food for the dinner party. I picked up some pork chop and some spinach for the pasta. It is going to good as I will chopping the Spinach and cook it with the pasta...

The weather people did give a good weather forecast today, but it turned out to be just fine. once again, I hopped on the Kawai and left for the Dragon Boat Practice. The weather could not be better and we had lots of turn out this weekend. We had 28 paddlers and we divided into 2 teams. We even did 3 mini races to practice our race start. I was tired after the practice. It wasn't an easy one today. But I had fun. After the practice, we assembled in the nearby gelato parlour for some after practice snack. Once again, the weather was just great for gelato!!!

Great ride today

I woke up early this morning because I needed to catch the bus for Vancouver at 8:30am. The bus ride was great and I listened to some tunes while I read a newspaper. After one transfer, I arrived at my friend's place. I have been keeping my bike there because I had no where to store her.

I fired up the bike and let her warm up to the operating temperature for a few minuets. I haven't ridden her since the freaky snow storm that I encountered in Downtown Vancouver two weeks ago. The weather was very much different today. I got dressed in full gear and I headed to the gas station to fill her up.

I met up with a friend afterward and we went out for a ride together. We rode about 100 miles together as he needed to burn off the old fuel in his tank. I didn't think I would be tired. But my legs stiffed up because of the constant braking and shifting. I didn't think motorcycling would be this tired. We rode to the look out on Cypress Mountain after flying on the freeway. It was fun and we were riding around 70mph at times.

Going up the twisty was fun as well. I have more confident on my bike now and I learn a lot more about my gearing. I have a better understand on my powerband and what gear to be it while drifting in and out the corner. I take the corner with confident because I understand my bike and the warm weather made the tire stickier. It was fun and good.

We headed to the Lonsdale Quey for food before we headed home.

It was a good experience and I am looking forward to another ride next week!!!

Chicken pasta Reciepe

I have some left over Chicken from few nights ago and I decided to use them in my pasta dinner.

I cut the chicken to small pieces.
I cooked the pasta(4 servings) for 10 minutes and drained
With the same pot, I added butter and garlic to fry up the chicken.
Once the chicken is starting to warm up, I added the pasta back to the pot.
Stir
Then I add in a can of tomato soup, a dash of black pepper.
Stir until warm

Serve.

Tuna Fish Sandwich

I bought a jar of Miracle Whip a few days ago because I wanted Tuna Fish Sandwich. I haven't made any in years. I had that sudden urge for one a few nights ago. The sandwich was good as I added hot dog relish and a dash of cayenne pepper to the mix. I am going to make another one for lunch in a few minutes. I am adding a hard boil egg to it. It is going to be a good lunch.

What I learn from watching Enter The Dragon

Enter the Dragon is on the screen again. I have seen the movie more than a few times and it is still very enjoyable.

I learn something new every time I watch the flick. Martial Art really teaches a way of looking at life.

When I watch Bruce Lee fights, he didn't make a move until his opponent did. He observe his opponents and reacted to them. He would not waste any energy if he knew that he could not win.

Tibet

Tibet is an interesting issue because the Chinese Government has too much pride to let Tibet go free. Tibet will never be free if the Western World's citizens keep pressing the issue. China will let Tibet go, if they can benefit from the move. From the current point, letting them go will do more harm than good because the Chinese Government will not let a group of foreign citizens to dictate its domestic affair. They will not kowtow to them for any reason.

I agree that there is a human right violation issue, but I am looking at it from a western world's point of view. China may be in the same planet, but they don't value human lives as much as we do in this part of world.

I am glad that I don't live in China.

Setting up my wireless network

I am not a techno geek and I only have basic knowledge. I have been trying to set passwords to my wireless network and it had not been easy. I was having a hard time logging into the router for the last 24 hours. I was frustrated with it. i know that everything was working, but the router won't let me in. I reseted it a few times, but still, I wasn't able to get in.

While watching Manchester United's beating on Roma today, I got in. I set a new password and gave my network a name!! now that I am some what protected.

Exhausted

I am tired. I am sitting on my couch with a blanket and Gene Simmon's Family Jewel is on TV. I am almost done with setting up my home. It is relatively clean and mostly free of garbage. I still need to get a set of new speakers because mine are too big. I need a set of powerful bookshelf speakers.

The cable guy came in this afternoon and he hooked up everything. I got my own internet and still unable to secure my network yet.

I am exhausted but my hand is getting better.

Reborn

The movers dropped off my stuff last Thursday and I am done unpacking. My place is full of stuff and I had to organise everything. I also needed to dismantle a few shelves and send stuff to the junk pile as well. I created a few bags of garbages. I also assembled my road bike today and I am getting ready for a ride soon. I am tired...

Life was a blurr

Life was blurry for me in the last two weeks of March. I got through it and lived. I have no idea what happened, except my Lawyer was handling my affairs. It is good to have some one like him in my life. I was also very pleased with the support that my friends gave me in the last two weeks. They were great and ensured me that everything is going to be fine.

I am in my own condo now and I am happy. I just had my peanut butter banana Sandwich and a cup of Ginger tea.
