I quit and I move on to a new episode

I went to my office and submitted my resignation letter this morning. I deleted all the irrelevant files off my computer and printed out my call log. I am done in working as an employment specialist for a company that bring foreign worker from Korea. I am moving back to do something that I am familiar with. I will be working with an employment agency that is closer to home.

Yay me!

The last week of June

This is the last week of june and it had been a good week so far. I called up Proactive Personnel Monday and I was told by the General Manager that she was ready to give me a job offer. Needless to say that I was glad to be doing what I love. I was to become a head hunter again.

She phoned me back yesterday afternoon and asked me to be at her office at 2pm.

I went to her office this afternoon and my file was on her desk. Inside the file was my job offer. She went over the job offer and the job description to me. I was thrilled and I accepted the job offer. I signed the paper and I will be at work next Wednesday morning at 8:30.

Now, I have to go back to my other job and quit.

Genie Joke

3 guys are walking on a beach. An american, and two Canadians; one of the from Vancouver, the other one from Quebec.
They stumble upon a magic genie lamp, and upon releasing the genie, they're granted 3 wishes - one wish each.

The american insists he goes first. He makes the typical selfish 'I wanna be rich' wish. The wish is granted.

The Quebecois starts monologuing about how he wants his province's culture and heritage protected and isolated from the rest of Canada, so as to not dilute the purity of his homeland, allowing them to be self-sufficient.To accomplish this, his wish is for a giant 50 foot wall to surround all of Quebec, separating it from the rest of the world. The wish is granted.

The Vancouverite just points at the Frenchie, and requests, "... I want you to fill that wall with water!"

* This joke is funny, but I am not a racist. I like Montreal and I want to visit the city in the near future.

Parenting

I was googling nipple piercing because I am thinking about getting one. Then I found a web page with a mom asking an expert about nipple piercing.

Q:
My daughter just got her nipples pierced. Should I (or she) be worried about any related health risks? She didn't ask for my advice before getting it done, but may want it if there are complications.

I had to laugh after I read the question. The mom was obviously upset and concern about her daughter's action. Seriously, the mom didn't know anything about it, and what advice would she give to her daughter. I am sure the daughter knew more about it from being on the net or talking to people who have already done it.

Road Bike

I went for a road ride after work yesterday and it was my first ride in a month. It was still fun. The bike feels so light in comparison to my motorbike. I was riding along the highway and the scenery was beautiful. The passion is still there as the road was dry.

Austrialian Breakfast

I got up with an empty stomach. Aside from my 'White Coffee,' I had a BBQ Chicken Sandwich with sweet chili sauce and a fried egg.

Friday the 13th

It may be a good day for me. I set up an interview for next Tuesday with another agency and another agency wants to do a reference check before they give me a job offer. I don't know waht to see. However, I enjoy working in Downtown because I don't have to drive. The train is a fabulous way for me to commute!!!!

Interview experience with an agency that has questionable ethics

I went to an interview with another agency and I have no desire to work for them. The Interview experience was bad. The president of the agency did the interview and he owned that place for 10 years. Yet, he doesn't know how to do interview. I hated the questions he asked as they are not relevent to the job. I was not being interviewed, rather, I felt like that I was being investigated. He wanted to know more about the agency that I worked for, rather than what I can do for him. How relevant is the size of the company.

I still don't think the interview was set up for hiring, but to gather market information. The dumb shit said that he will call me today, but I highly doubted that he will do that. I seriously doubt that I am one of the candidates that he would consider in any given time.

Not sure what is going on

I am kinda confused in where I am heading. I want to know for sure, but the future looks cloudy. My unemployment Insurance will end soon and I have a job. I m not sure whether it is going to be a good job, but it will be one for me to stick around for th nex 12 months or so. I have no pln to stay longer than 12 months because of he disorganition of the place. I may be able to do wonder, but it will take a miracle. It is not the kind of company that I am used to work for. I need more structure in life.

My bedroom door

There is a door for my bedroom and I haven't used it yet. My door is always open and never shut because of my cats. They like to sleep my bed and I cannot deny them. However, Cloud (the Grey Cat) learnt to shut the door on Kimi. When she doesn't want to be bother. She simply close the door on Kimi. But Cloud still hasn't mastered the art of opening the door yet. She will lock herself in the bedroom and have no access to food and water.

It is about freaking time - agent for foreign skilled workers

I got a job offer from an International Employment Agency and I gladly accepted it. I will be working in Downtown and I don't need to wear a tie.

It had been almost 9 months since I last worked and my unemployment insurance is running out later this month. It will be refreshing for me to tackle the labour market from a different angle. It will be different as I am marketing a group of people that I have never met before. The employers had to trust us and hire these people sight unseen. I am not nervous a it is a number game. I am sure that there are plenty of employers will have no problem with them.

I am excited and I am already thinking about ways to these skilled workers from abroad. I just need to remind the employers that they are looking for a better way of life. The commitment of leaving their home country is huge and they are serious. Unlike most workers in Canada, they are looking for long term employment.
