My weekend so far

I am having a good weekend so far.

I woke up early Saturday morning for the annual Lotus Regatta at Barnet Marine Park. It was a one day event with 17 different race teams. I got there at 8am and some of my teammates were already there. We warmed up and we raced. I did the first heat with Gung Haggis. We had a great start and we were having problem in the middle. Unfortunately we didn't we recover.

Soon, I was on loan to a The Pirates from Chiliwack They have a slightly different paddle technique. It was fun paddling with them as the team took first place in their first heat.

I did their second heat with them. After lunch and I did the last heat with Gung Haggis. Soon we moved the party to my place.

We had Barbeque food, cooked by Lena. We drank. We soaked in the hot tub. It was fun.

I woke up Sunday Morning and I went out to Dim Sum with 2 friends. It wa a great meal and we were there 2 hours. We left for the Art Gallery for a comic book exhibition. The day ended with a birthday celebration for Jim.

There was a meal at a Cambodian restaurant and a small party at a Gentleman club. We had loads of fun as one friend of ours was recognised by the Dj and a few customers. She loved the attention.

I am heading out for a motorcycle ride shortly. The weather is not hot, and it is kinda damp. it still can be fun.

Back to Square 1

Don't you love being at Square 1?

I went for an interview last week and the company made me a job offer within days. It was a recruiter position and I accepted it. However, my gut just didn't feel right. I was debating lots and was trying to look for excuses not to take this job.

In my opinion, this is an easy job and I can be making loads of money with it. But I know that I am over qualify for it. I am quitting th job

500, 600, and 750

I just got home from a motorbike ride. The weather started out great, but it soon turned cold. It was still fun. I did the ride with 2 new riding buddies and both of them ride better and faster bike than mine, but we still have fun. Their bikes may be faster, but I was still to keep up with them at speed.

Job offer

After a month of searching, I received a job offer today. A private natural gas reseller, offered me a recruiter position. My job would be recruiting new sales agents. The company is currently restructuring and it is in the middle of building up a new sales team again. Deal to the nature of the job, there is a high turn over. I just have to recruit more people to stay on top of the game.

I start on Monday.

Iron Man

I am a passionate movie goer and I love action movie. I cheer for the hero on screen even I won't be heard. I enjoy the ride that the movies people gave me. The scenes will arouse my emotion to the next level, because I can easily be one with movie in a dark movie house. The sound from the speakers and the fabulous job from the actors are key elements.

Being a quasi comic geek and an avid movie goer, I love Iron Man. The story was updated and it was very well done. Robert Downey Jr did a great job in playing Tony Stark. His look was perfect for the part. The two sides of the Iron Man showed very well from Downey Jr. It is not easy playing a super hero because most of them have two egos.

Passed my road test

I passed my motorcycle road test yesterday. I was a lot more relaxed this time and I passed it with flying colour. He had nothing bad to day about the ride . The examiner even wrote that on the paper that I had a good ride. I was glad that is behind me. I can finally ride my bike at night and without worrying about getting caught.

I will continue to ride my bike at an orderly fashion. I don't really do much speeding at all. The thrill is there but I rather ride on my pace. Riding 60mph is fast enough although I have done higher speed, but I don't really enjoy it that much. I rather cruise on the highway and enjoy the sights. I can't believe that I am saying that.
